On 8 February 2026, Habivore partnered with LeSpot Board Games Café in Kaloor, Kochi to host a community board games experience unlike most people had ever attended. Rather than familiar classics, participants were introduced to a collection of modern strategy and social board games that encouraged teamwork, creativity and conversation. What started as a few tables of strangers quickly became an afternoon filled with laughter, friendly competition and meaningful interactions.
At Habivore, we believe the best conversations happen when people are doing something together. Board games naturally remove the awkwardness of meeting someone for the first time by giving everyone a shared objective. This experience wasn’t about winning games—it was about creating an environment where strangers could comfortably become teammates.
Throughout the afternoon, participants explored a variety of award winning board games, many of which they had never seen before. Every table offered a different experience—from strategy and deduction to cooperation and fast-paced party games. As confidence grew, conversations became easier, laughter became louder and new friendships formed naturally around the table.
After more than three hours of board games, the experience didn’t end there. We introduced an experimental social activity where participants playfully delivered pickup lines while the audience cheered them on. The light-hearted format created some of the funniest moments of the day, giving everyone another opportunity to interact beyond the games themselves and ending the experience on a high note.
This experience reinforced something we’ve always believed: meaningful connections don’t need complicated introductions. A shared activity is often enough to bring people together. Watching complete strangers collaborate, compete and laugh with one another reminded us that community isn’t created through events alone—it’s created through experiences that make people feel comfortable enough to be themselves. As Habivore continues to grow, experiences like these will remain at the heart of everything we build.
